Job Purpose: 

The purpose of the role is to provide technical support to DMC’s I.T. infrastructure and service delivery functions. The post holder will have previous I.T. experience in a commercial environment. Be able to work in a small team and have a flexible approach to daily tasks. Candidates should have good knowledge of implementations and systems support vis shared services and must be aware of current trends and new developments within the I.T. Industry.    

 

1. Key Responsibilities  

• Responsible for delivering I.T. strategic support and implementing change.

• Ensuring that all policies and processes are current, compliant to regulations and documented. 

• Support the business during its growth period and assist in creation of I.T. accounts.

• Liaise with relevant partners (NHS) to provide I.T access to staff. 

• Ensure internal and external content is current and working on web and intranet sites. 

• Maintain awareness and communicate changes in regulations and standards.  

 

2. IT Support 

• Setting up and installing of hardware and software, regularly updating systems and monitoring I.T. solutions for medical practices. 

• Work closely with other team members and set up tools to ensure I.T. service is consistently quick and of a high quality.

• Provide relevant and insightful judgement in all IT infrastructure and service decisions particularly on network services and their security, quality and availability.  

• Identify key risks and manage them proactively, ensure continuity of services.

• Manage I.T. request tickets and respond promptly to avoid disruption to business services.

 

3. Others 

• Assess and report I.T. performance in team meetings. 

• Train and support staff on new systems and applications.

• Maintain relevant communication and protocol documents.

• Travel across sites as appropriate.
